Marina: Falmouth Inside

Premier is pleased to announce that Mark Dash and Mel Armstrong have both been appointed as Assistant Marina Managers at Falmouth marina.

Both Mark and Mel have been working at Falmouth marina for many years and have the experience and knowledge to assist Marina Manager, Mark Evans with an outstanding level of customer and operational service to berth holders and visiting yachtsmen at the marina.

Mark Dash

Before Mark started work at Falmouth Marina in 1992 he was a skipper for a local ferry company for eleven years. Since then Mark has worked at Falmouth Marina as a Dockmaster and more recently his responsibilities have been extended to cover many of the maintenance projects. Mark has extensive knowledge of the workings and infrastructure at Falmouth. His qualifications as an electrician and experience as a welder/ fabricator help keep the place together and maintain services to the pontoons, boatyard and marina building.

Mark will be responsible for the smooth running of Falmouth marina's busy boatyard along with the organisation of ongoing and future maintenance projects as well as all the day-to-day operational matters.

In Mark's younger days he was a keen rugby player and enjoyed racing on local yachts. These days he still enjoys getting out on the water, to fish or just enjoy the estuary, along with cooking and DIY.

Mel Armstrong

Mel has worked as an administrator at Falmouth Marina for the last eleven years. In her new role as joint Assistant Manager with Mark Dash she will be responsible for the marina office as well as being involved in all other aspects of the marina operation.

Prior to working at Falmouth Marina, Mel worked with horses for many years in North Devon, then for The Link (part of the Dixons stores group) at various locations as deputy store manager.

Mel is married to Justin and they have a 2 ½ year old boy called William. Much of Mel's spare time is spent with her family, but she still likes to ride when she can and also tries to spend as much time as possible in the mountains skiing each winter.
